achieve this purpose, the club organizes Nordic skiing events suitable for
skiers of all abilities. These include tours, ski technique clinics, waxing
clinics, races, etc. The club also promotes the exchange of information on ski
trails and snow conditions in areas around Ithaca, NY."

of snow, friendly management, and a hot stove. What more can you ask
for. This is probably the best place to X-Country ski in New York and
maybe the northeast.

the assistance of fellow cross country skiers." Kurt's Web page is a valuable
resource that deserves your support. The next time you go out skiing report

are located at the tourathon trails, a 50 km network of free groomed
cross-country ski trails in the Winona State Forest, a perfect setting for

Vermont
- The Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
Craftsbury Common, Vermont. "Over 60 miles of groomed, cross country ski
trails traverse some of the most beautiful countryside in the Northeast. Here
in the highlands of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, the snow is abundant from
December through March. We operate a full service ski center with ski
equipment rental, sales and a ski school with guide service."

Skiing at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, VT. "Prospect Mountain
maintains 30+ kilometers of trails that are used for hiking, mountain biking,
and trail running throughout the summer and autumn seasons.
When the snow begins to fall the trails are expertly groomed for both skate
and classical cross-country skiing. Most trails have tracks set on either side
with a wide skating lane in the center. Trail difficulties range from beginner
to extreme expert.
There is an extensive backcountry trail system which extends from Prospect's
trails through the Green Mountain National Forest. Check in the Ski/Sports
Shop for information about the wilderness trails."

Ski Center. Stowe Vermont. Friends have described delightful
accommodations and beautifully groomed trails at the Trapp Family Lodge. Yes,
this is the Trapp family portrayed in the movie Sound of Music.
Wisconsin

page is devoted to Nordic skiing. It contains ski reports and events in
Wisconsin. In addition, there are links off to other nordic skiing pages on
the net." Visit their reports pages. The stories are worth reading.
