• DancEncounters Dance Co-Op.  "DancEncounters Dance Co-Op is a venue for dancers who wish to teach, socialize or practice social dancing. There are currently 12 teachers at the co-op, teaching Ballroom, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Swing, Ballet, exercise classes, and Hip Hop. Classrooms and ballrooms are available for a flat fee. Social dances are held most evenings."   Comment:  DancEncounters classes and dances are reasonably priced and are likely to become the place to go ballroom, swing, Latin, and other kinds of dancing in Rochester.

• Country/Western Dancing. If you can't find dance information on the WBEE FM 92.5 Web site call their telephone "Fun Line" at 585-222-4386. Select the WBEE option and then the local events option. There is too much information on the "Fun Line" so you may have to wait a long time to hear about dance information and then the information will go by very quickly.

Dance Performance

• Rochester City Ballet.   "Since its inception, RCB has created at least twenty new ballets. Traditional favorites have included the Company's annual Nutcracker, Firebird, and Don Quixote. Throughout the school year the company presents lecture demonstrations, dress rehearsals, and mini performances to over 5,000 school children as well as to many charitable and community organizations."
